What is a Divan Bed?
Northwest Bed Centre provide a high quality divan bed base which is built with a wooden frame and upholstered in a fabric such as Plush Velvet, Crushed Velvet, Chenille. Assembly is easy and the two base parts are connected together and then your mattress is placed directly on top of the divan bed base, if you think you would struggle with assembly then we offer an assembly service at an extra cost.

You can buy a divan bed base from ourselves with storage options ranging from two draws, four draws or a jumbo end draw providing plenty of space inside the bed and out of sight.
What Size Are Divan Beds?
3ft Single Beds
Single divan beds are ideal if you are looking to buy a bed for a spare room for when the family come over, or if your child is transitioning from a cot or toddler bed to a full size single bed.
4ft Small Double Beds
Small Double Beds are commonly referred to a queen sized beds, they are perfect for spare rooms or rooms that are small sized and cannot accommodate a normal standard double bed.
4ft 6 Standard Double Beds
Perfect for teenagers who are growing and want the space of comfortable sleeping, no worrying about falling out of a bed with one of our spacious double beds.
5ft Kingsize Beds
Upgrading from a double bed to a kingsize is always a wise choice, perfect for couples there is plenty of space, no need to worry about being limited to a little area if your partner sprawls out in bed, measuring 5ft wide you will be sure to have a comfortable night sleep.
Can You Get a Divan Bed with a Headboard?
Yes of course! As standard all of our beds come with a plain/buttoned or diamond headboard which you can choose when using our online bed builder.
Our headboards currently vary from 20inches tall for our divan headboards to 50inches tall for our freestanding headboards which either can be purchased with your new bed
